Perhaps I'll just have to settle for a 650mAh in order to get this up and running. Sadly I spent 150 bucks for this ipod and another 100 for the SD card and iFlash solo combo so I'm going a bit beyond my budget and would like to minimize further spending. ![]() But why does the iDemiGods website say it will fit? perhaps an error? No matter what I can wait hours and it always fails. the iPod is recognized by the Mac (Mojave) or Windows 10 virtual machine.but +really really+ slow to format/restore, and in the end it falls over. I'm starting to get the impression that it would be a no go unless I spent the money to get a thicker back and the thick-compatible components that go with it. I have the ipod4g adapter and iflash solo, have tried different cards always same result. There's a video HERE by EoE that also says it will fit (at 1:25), and as he showcases it in the video, it looks like it would fit if you slide the battery over to avoid the headphone jack, but it's not actually confirmed because he takes out the battery without showing the fitment fully.Īs far as cutting the iflash solo, I could but am hesitant and now as you say it still will clash with the sd card, I'm glad i didn't go ahead and do it. ![]() There's a lot of conflicting information I've seen. So I guess it's case closed, no pun intended. It will not fit with the Solo unfortunately." "The 2000mAh battery only works with the Quad & the thin back cover. UPDATE: I just heard back from Darren at iDemiGods. iFlash Quad with 128GB micro SD card and 3000mAh extended battery this will boost battery life to over 100 hours on a single charge. I emailed the team at iDemiGods and I will wait for their reply, but in the meantime, can anyone let me know if John from Kingston is right or wrong? For your setup, there are two main options Id recommend: iFlash Solo with 128GB card and standard battery should work just fine and you can expect over 36 hours of music on a single charge with a new battery. Just bought an ipod 4th gen and you can be sure it will be hacked. Iflash is the way to go, take in consideration the size that you want for storage Im fine with my 64gb 5th gen ipod, its a single solo micro sd adapter, maybe, maybe not will upgrade to 128gb micro sd. If I flip it 90 degrees it won't fit due to the headphone jack." same the money and get the iFlash Quad, the other adapters arent worth it. Everything was going smoothly, I’ve formatted the cards and restored the ipod on itunes succesfuly, but whenever I go to use the rockbox utility it always stops at 99 and the ipod bootloader says that it can’t find the rockbox.ipod file. It hits the part of the SD card that sticks out of the holder when using a solo. I’m using the iflash quad and decided to add an sd card. ![]() John from Kingston in the comments says: "I can confirm this battery is too big to fit in a thin back with an iflash solo. The description says: "Users have reported that this battery will work with a thin back cover if an iFlash Solo or iFlash Quad is also used in conjunction with it." Can anyone here shed some light onto whether or not THIS battery will fit into an iPod Classic that is fitted with an iFlash Solo?
